Background

The original production of Missing, directed by Peter Hinton-Davis, premiered in 2017 with Pacific Opera Victoria and City Opera Vancouver. Rooted in Gitxsan and English, the full production toured to Victoria, Regina, and Prince George in 2019, and a new staging received its U.S. première with Anchorage Opera in 2023 under the direction of Rhiana Yazzie.
